How to Play Never Have I Ever

Read a prompt, put a finger down if you have done it, and let anyone pass.

Never Have I Ever Rules in Four Steps

  1. Gather your players

    Play with two or more people in person or on a video call.

  2. Hold up ten fingers

    Each player starts with ten fingers raised.

  3. Read a statement

    Take turns reading a “Never have I ever…” prompt.

  4. Answer and keep going

    If you have done it, lower one finger. The last player with fingers up wins; anyone can pass.

Quick answers

Does the reader need to have never done it?

In the spoken version, say something you have not done. With prepared cards, the reader can simply read the next prompt.

Can we play without keeping score?

Yes. Say “I have” or “I haven’t” and enjoy the conversation. Sharing the story is optional.

What about drinking or remote play?

Alcohol is optional for adults of legal drinking age. To play remotely, create a room and share the link, or use your usual video call.
